Welcome to the 2025 Peterborough Championship Series

East Anglia’s longest running and best open Martial Arts tournament. Open to all styles and associations.

Now in its 25th year and growing in support each year. With such a high number of competitors we offer over 285 categories to suit everyone. This encompasses Katas, Points Sparring, and Light Continuous. Each section includes beginner, Intermediate, and advanced categories for all.

Kata’s
Under 9 yrs, 12 – 15 yrs, 16 yrs plus, Veterans as well as our Open Team Kata (2/3 persons, £40 per team).

Points Sparring
Under 5 yrs, Under 12 yrs, 13 – 15 yrs, 16 – 18 yrs and 16 yrs plus, and Veterans.

Light Continuous Sparring
 Under 12 yrs, 13 – 15 yrs, 16 yrs plus, and Veterans.

Open Weight
This year we continue with our open weight 31/2 ft and prize money sections for points and light continuous divisions. Even more spectacular we have raised the prize money again… our total prize money is over £2000 (£200 per division)

  • Open Weight Ladies Continuous – 16 Years and Above

One other section must be entered on the day to qualify entry to an open weight section. Minimum of 3 fighters needed in each section to run with Trophy
(5 or more will include £200 prize money)

Registration Times

Registration opens at 8.15am – Adults.. please try and allow the children to registration area early as these will be the first to start.

All Kata’s – registration closes 9:15am for a 9:30am start

Children’s Points – registration closes 9:15am for a 9:30am start (Children’s continuous will start after children’s points before any adults sections)

Children’s Continuous (15 years and under) – registration closes 11:00am

Adult’s Points / Continuous (16 years and above) – registration closes 12:30pm to start after 1:00pm.

Children’s Open Weights – can register until 11:30am on the day of the event.

Adult’s Open Weights – can register until 12:30pm on the day of the event.

INSTRUCTORS AND REFEREES MEETING (explaining rules and regulations) 9:00am.

PLEASE ALLOW TIME FOR QUEUING

There is no height allowance, if you are over the height then you must enter the next height category. There is a .5kg allowance for all light continuous categories.

Please note that any amendments made on the day of the event will incur an administrative fee of £10 or may result in disqualification. We understand that this decision may come as a surprise, but it is necessary to maintain the integrity of our event and minimize the additional strain on our staff. (please contact our team directly before Wednesday of the event, to make any amendments without any fees or disqualifications) .

You may be asked to prove your grade during any event, please have you licence book / proof of grade with you.

We operate a ‘Fair Competition Policy’ at all our events.

Points Sparring
Beginner under 1 years training,
Intermediate 1 to 3 years training,
Advanced over 3 years training.

Light Contact Continuous Sparring
Beginner under 1 years training,
Intermediate / Advanced over 1 years training.

This includes at previous Clubs / Schools, other style, private tuition ETC.

(Excluding any classes as pre-school late do not include sparring or sparring drills and under 5 years of age)

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT CHEATING YOU WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR POINTS IN THAT SECTION FROM ANY PREVIOUS EVENT / NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN AND IF YOUR CORRECT SECTION HAS ALL READY STARTED RUNNING YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER. WE PUT OUR TRUST IN THE STUDENTS, PARENTS AND COACHES TO BE HONEST. LET THE REAL BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATES HAVE A CHANCE OR YOU COULD PUT THEM OFF COMPETING IN THE FUTURE, THEN WHERE WILL OUR SPORT BE.

YOU MAY BE ASKED TO PROVE YOUR GRADE DURING ANY EVENT, PLEASE HAVE YOU LICENCE BOOK / PROOF OF GRADE WITH YOU.
